This pattern puts a modern twist on a traditional block quilt. Some have said it's similar to a kaleidoscope or a succulent. Whatever you decide it appears to you, make it your adventure! Don't let the intermediate "rating" scare you. There are TONS of helpful diagrams and even printable templates to help you get the angles just right. Suggested notions/tools include a Hera Marker or dull pencil, a piece of template plastic for trimming (available at many craft and quilt shops) and a fine permanent marker. Coloring page included, too!

This pattern is inspired by a canyon near Salt Lake City called Millcreek Canyon. It’s a quiet, little canyon with beautiful trees and a small creek that ripples and runs during the year. They close the road a ways up the canyon during the winter to create a quiet wonderland. It’s where I learned to snowshoe and enjoyed moonlit hikes with the bubbling creek in the background. This quilt is inspired by the runoff during late winter and early spring where the snow turns into icy piles that drip into the creek sides to create ripples. Winter is my favorite season because of the beauty that’s created by the snow. I hope you enjoy this pattern!
